Enough copying and pasting: a taster of what I do.

Ever since I was about 13 i've always customized my clothes, especially t-shirts and vests. This summer, in my spare time I decided to do a small capsule collection of tops, just for fun.

'F.I.A.R: Fashion is a Ritual'
Hand dyed/cut/sewn.
Real feathers hand sewn.
Hand painted.
Feather top in white and without trim.

I have a few more tops in this collection which I will put up later once i've photographed them!

Another project I worked on was one of my fave; I designed two tops for my friend Ciro, the owner of my fave restaurant and hang out 'Pizza Pommodoro' in Beauchamp Place.

Designed and made by me. Hand sewn real leather. Metal studs.
Can't find a proper photo of him wearing it so this'll have to do!
Amazing night at Ciro's Pommodoro with friends.
Hand painted by me. Embroidery detail on fur.
Hand painted/screen printed.

'She makes science fiction something else'

A new found love: Christopher Kane Resort 2011.

Contrasting leather with silk/ chiffon and making it work: genius. Digital print is the way foreward and as usual, Christopher Kane is ahead of the crowd.

Reminds me of:

  • Barberella!

  • Thierry Mugler.
  • Peter Pilotto for Kipling. LOVE.
An explosion of stardust!

I have always had faith in Christopher Kane despite the odd ensembles that I believe have failed.
Dragged through a hedge?
Confused art teacher?
Even the model can't pull this one off.
Eccentric grandma drank too much sherry and got over excited with some lace curtains from the 1960s and a sewing machine. FAIL! FAIL! FAIL!

This is more like it :).

A small snippet of his Central St Martins Collection that made me fall in love with him and also made him an established designer and welcomed to the fashion world with open arms.

Super bummed out when I missed out on the Christopher Kane 2007 collaboration for Topshop (before most people even knew who he was!):

Contrasting neutral with neon, lace detailing, fitted top with feminine floaty pleats.

Sad times :(

On the upside, check out his new print for J-Brand Agnes jeans:
